The Central Board of Secondary Education has released a notification regarding rechecking, reevaluation and availing copies of answer sheet. Students who want to avail any of these to verify their marks, they can do so by making a payment of Rs 500 per subject.
The link for reevalucation will be activated the day after the declaration of the result on the CBSE official website, cbse.nic.in. Candidates can also obtain a photocopy of their board exam answer booklet by paying Rs 700 for class 12 and Rs 550 for class 10 exams, per subject. The link will only be activated for one day and students will have to pay Rs 100 per question for the re-evaluation.
Several anomalies have been reported starting from misprinting to allegedly wrong translations in the question papers of CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 exams this year. The CBSE confirmed that a committee will sit for every exam which had the reported errors and discuss the papers. If any anomaly is found then students will be compensated which can also include grace marks and lenient checking.
The board had earlier provided schools and students with an opportunity to register a grievance regarding any anomaly in the papers. The window to send the grievances was within 24 hours of the conducting of the exam. In case any student is still not satisfied with the marks, they can avail the provision of reevaluation.
The results for both Class 10 and Class 12 are likely to be declared between May 13 to 17, 2019. Results of Class 12 will be announced first, following which the CBSE will declare the Class 10 results after two to three days.
