I have always enjoyed science and finding out how we interact with the surrounding environment. For example, interaction of gut bacteria is necessary for survival of human beings. So I was always curious about how things work in network of interactions and why. I especially enjoy to teach biology to undergraduate and graduate students and share my knowledge and passion with them so they too not only see how things work but have the tools to understand why they do so as well. When I was studying Physics, Chemistry and Biology in my senior secondary school, I got the first exposure to see how things work in reality using chemical reactions, graphs and formulas and wanted to learn more. So, for my Graduation degree I choose Biotechnology and studied at the Center for converging Technologies. In the first year, I studied the first year degree level Maths, Physics, Programming languages to compliment the B.Tech Biotechnology degree, as I really enjoy science. This continued in my second, third and final years of my degree in Biotechnology. After I had finished my B.tech in Biotechnology I had already decided that I still wanted to know more and completed my Master in Degree in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics. After M.Tech i have published two research papers. My area of research is Molecular Biology of plant stress response. Currently I am Working as research associate and Analyzing Transcriptome(RNA-Seq) data.

Every student learns differently so I always adapt my teaching to my students. The most important part is to find out what way works for each student and use that approach so that they are really able to understand what they are studying. In my teaching methodology i always uses more then one examples or ways of approaching the problem to find the specific way that "clicks" with them. This approach has always worked, with many students now understanding topics that they thought they wouldn't .
