With a focus on art history and characterization, exploring various visual art media; participating in the school’s band or the choir, learning to dance, being involved in theater both on and off the stage, art at SAI International Residential School instills a sense of confidence, creativity and self-respect. Through the multidimensional programs, many students discover and hone their individual talents.
MEDIA TRAINING
Words matter and how they are used matters even more. This is where media training is critical and SIRS sees it as vital, hence investing adequate time and resources. Media training focuses on refining the delivery skills involving body language, gestures, pacing, along with building confidence and facing real broadcast situations. It aims to make students get comfortable and effective both in front of the camera or microphone as well as behind them. Media training translates knowledge into powerful and meaningful communication.
CELEBRATIONS & EVENTS SIRS
believes that celebrating as a group bestows a sense of belonging, something that is crucial to human fulfillment. As part of our efforts to inculcate in students the appreciation of and respect for various events as well as to develop a global perspective, the school plans to celebrate a number of occasions. The various celebrations and events at the school are designed to foster connections within the school community members along with the external community members towards the larger interest of national development through a good education.
HOUSE ACTIVITIES
The House system is a long-standing tradition that creates competition, promotes good work and behaviour, encourages teamwork, provides opportunities to take on responsibilities and brings everyone in the school together. Students are awarded house points for academic, extra-curricular and pastoral activities in daily school life. The house points build towards certificates of achievement for individuals and develop self-confidence and team pride, leading to house pride. Quizzes, competitions and sports activities in which house teams compete against each other to earn house points, are the essence of house competitions. These activities run in conjunction with different departments in the school, enabling students to demonstrate their prowess in Poetry, Drama, Languages, Humanities, Maths, Science, Sports, Music, Debating and Literature.
CLUBS & SOCIETIES At SIRS
a club is something that is run by students because they want to run it. They meet people with shared interests and conduct activities to learn more about the topic of interest by gaining practical experience in a safe environment. Being a part of a club helps them to learn about skills dormant within them. Students enhance their soft skills while dealing with peers as well as a teacher in charges, thus developing the emotional quotient.
