What's Your Question?
Answer

Diode is a non linear electronic device which allow current to pass in one direction.

Answer
Diode is a 2 terminal semiconductor device and it allows to flow the current in one direction
Answer
Diode is a non linear electronic device which allow current to pass in one direction.
Answer
A diode is a p n junction device formed by joining a p type semiconductor substrate and an n type semiconductor substrate. The difference in potential between p type and n type substrate at the junction is known as contact potential and this prevents the flow of current. A diode can be connected in a circuit in two different ways. One is forward biasing. That is p type material that is anode connected to positive and n type that is cathode connected to negative terminal. The diode conduct current forward biasing. But when anode connected to negative and cathode connected to positive of battery, diode is reverse biased and diode does not conduct current
Answer
Diode is a nonlinear device used to rectify ac signal and also used to generate harmonics of signal.
Answer
Diode : two electrodes ( terminals ANODE , CATHODE )
Answer

di means two, diode implies two terminal device and conducts current only in one direction when the +ve terminal(anode) is atleast more than the -v(cathode) by the cutin voltage.

Answer

As the name indicate the diode is made by two words Di means two & Odos means path. But it only conduct current in one direction. Another definition is when a small piece of p type crystal is joined with a small piece of n type crystal a junction is found between them is also known as p-n junction diode.
