Respiration in organisms is the biological process by which living beings release energy from food. All organisms — humans, animals, and plants — need oxygen (O₂) to break down glucose and release energy in the form of ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate). In humans and animals: Oxygen is inhaled through the nose, reaches the lungs, and diffuses into the blood to be used by cells. In plants: Oxygen enters through tiny pores called stomata and also through roots for respiration. Two types of respiration occur: Aerobic respiration: With oxygen, producing high energy. Anaerobic respiration: Without oxygen, producing less energy. This topic explains how breathing and cellular respiration help organisms survive and perform daily activities. https://t.me/Iqra_Study_Board
