  2. Artery Pulmonary artery Aorta Blood flow 1. Deoxygenated blood from all over the body is collected and brought to the heart by vena cava 2. Tricuspid valve opens 3. The blood enters into the right ventricle. 4. Pulmonary valve in the right atrium opens 5. From right ventricles it enter into the pulmonary artery 6. The blood is carried to the lungs by pulmonary artery. 7. In lungs alveoli are present filled with oxygen 8. Pulmonary artery divides and re divides to form blood capillaries which surrounds the alveoli. 9. Oxygen from alveoli enters in the blood and carbon dioxide enters into the alveoli 10. The blood capillaries re-join to form pulmonary vein which carries oxygenated blood back to the heart. 11. The pulmonary veins open into the left atrium 12. Bicuspid valve opens 13. Blood from left atrium enters into the left ventricle 14. Aortic valve opens and blood from left ventricle enters into the aorta 15. From aorta the oxygenated blood is supplied to all parts Of the body Double circulation In human beings the same blood flows twice through the heart, hence it is also known as double circulation .it consist of pulmonary circulation and systemic circulation Pulmonary circulation Deoxygenated blood from the body enters into the vena cava
