I am an Economics graduate with Mathematics as the other subect. I have secured a first class marks in my grad. And also I am a CAT aspirant. I am helping students since I was in the first year in my grad. I used to teach my fellow mates Economics and Mathematics. Later I taught many students. I love teaching. My approach varies depending on the student’s needs and learning style. However my teaching philosophy is based on encouraging students to think for themselves, using real-world examples wherever possible. My aim as a tutor is to create in my students a deep understanding and confidence in answering exam questions and being able to tackle new and unfamiliar problems. I am teaching Quants, DI and LR in a reputed organisation as a part time faculty for almost a year now, for all courses, CAT, GMAT, MAT, Bank PO, SSC. I prefer quick problem solving techniques rather than theoretical approach towards aptitude problems. I'm available online all day. Even after having an engineering background from an NIT, I prefer teaching because I like it more than anything and hopefully I am good at it.

Tutoring Approach

I break the chapter into modules. After discussing the theory of each module I go for basic questions followed by some tricky questions. After all the modules are over I discuss some higher level problems. I believe in more of a common-sense approach towards aptitude problem solving rather than mugging up formulas. I was a CAT student of a reputed institute. So I know very well where the students lag behind and what makes them understand the concepts well.

Which indicates that I must have scored high percentile marks. I am a MBA and have been a banker for the last 15 years with a total work experience of 20 years.
