M.Sc (Lieutenant Abhishek Ray Chaudhuri Teachers Training College (LBRCTTC), Kolkata - 2015)
Experience I have been tutoring students in various subjects and syllabuses for over five years, including ICSE, CBSE, WBBSE, USA, and UK syllabuses. During this time, I have developed a deep understanding of the curriculum and exam patterns for each syllabus, enabling me to provide targeted and effective tutoring. I believe that every student is unique and requires a personalized approach to learning. Therefore, I tailor my teaching methods to suit the individual needs and learning styles of each student, focusing on developing their strengths and improving their weaknesses. I also provide regular feedback to help students track their progress and adjust their learning approach accordingly. I am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals and feel confident in their abilities, and I work hard to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
Tutoring Approach Identify the student's learning style and needs: Every student is different, and a tutoring approach that works for one student may not work for another. Therefore, it's important to understand the student's learning style and needs to tailor the tutoring approach accordingly.
Set clear learning objectives: Before starting a tutoring session, it's important to set clear learning objectives that both the tutor and the student can work towards. This can help keep the session focused and ensure that the student is making progress towards their learning goals.
Use a variety of teaching methods: To keep the student engaged and accommodate different learning styles, a variety of teaching methods can be used, including visual aids, interactive activities, and real-life examples.
Provide regular feedback: Regular feedback can help the student understand their strengths and weaknesses and adjust their learning approach accordingly. It can also help the tutor understand the student's progress and adjust the tutoring approach as needed.
Encourage active learning: Active learning, where the student is actively engaged in the learning process, can be more effective than passive learning. Therefore, tutors can encourage the student to ask questions, participate in discussions, and apply what they have learned.
Be patient and supportive: Learning can be challenging, and students may struggle with certain concepts. Therefore, tutors should be patient and supportive, providing encouragement and positive reinforcement to help the student stay motivated and engaged
