What method do you use in teaching, and what is the best method in your opinion? Before you start teaching, try spending some time with them conversing about the subject and their interest levels. You should observe them to find out the reasons for their liking or disliking the subject. This will give the teacher an idea of how to tackle them.

I personally teach math and my students have often told me that they feel very confident in solving problems once I explain them the concept. Even if they do not know the basics, I spend time clearing the basics so that the new problems can become easier and it does work when you show them an easier way of doing it and still getting the answers.

Some students do not attempt a problem just because they don't remember the formulae. This can be taken care of by showing them tricks of remembering the formulae.

Some students don't attempt the problems because they are afraid of the length of the word problem. We can easily show them how to convert every statement of the word problem into a mathematical expression and get an answer.

Some don't like the subject itself because someone told them it is hard. We can help the student break the fears and show them a new world of mathematics that anyone can attempt and score marks with practice.
