After doing a B. Tech in Computer science and Engineering, I worked with Cognizant as an associate-projects for four years. Despite brilliant prospects in the job, I left it to pursue my interest in English literature; to read Shakespeare and Milton and Dickens and Austen.

I did my MA in English from University of Pune in 2015 with Outstanding grade and cleared NET and SET in English in the same year.

So far, I have worked with Speakwell enterprises, Dr DY Patil polytechnic college, and Abeda Inamdar Senior College, Pune.

My specialization subject during M.A. was English Language and Literature Teaching. I have received a certificate of merit from CBSE for being among the top 0.1% passing students and I have also obtained a teaching certification(TKT) from Cambridge English.

 

Tutoring Approach

I follow Albert Einstein's teaching philosophy. I create an environment for a student to learn. I focus on competency building which includes focus on knowledge, skills and attitude. An effective teaching style engages students in the learning process and helps them develop critical thinking skills. I teach my students to ask questions and develop skills to find answers and solutions through exploration.

My total experience of conducting home tutions is of two years. Lessons are explained, difficult words are elaborated, stress is given on problem solving, lesson reading etc. depending upon level of student. I would prefer to teach only girl students.

Tutoring Approach

Important points are highlighted, notes are given and explained well. Reading, explaining, taking regular tests etc are main features.I would prefer to teach only girl students.

Meet with parents to discuss progress and address behavior or mastery issues. Develop discipline plans and work closely with at-risk students.

My approach varies depending on the student’s needs and learning style. However my teaching philosophy is based on encouraging students to think for themselves, using real-world examples wherever possible. My aim as a tutor is to create in my students a deep understanding and confidence in answering exam questions and being able to tackle new and unfamiliar problems. My philosophy is based on the idea that learning happens in an environment of mutual respect in which the student is encouraged to think and make new connections for themselves.

I have 1 year of teaching experience. I believe that breaking any complex concepts to smaller chunks to the extent that you can start playing around with the info till you enjoy exploring it is what makes the journey easy at the same time thought provoking.

And in this way students can also discuss their problems and needs with teacher and they will have more interest in the subject.
