Answer

The reply is Untrue. A VFD compliant motor can be started with a DOL starter as the Motor is suitable to absorve relected waves in the tune of 2 Times the peak of D.C voltage but as It is not VFD compliant motor , so, the frequency conversion shall be harmful for the Motor and It will burn due to Insulation failure.
