A country needs a constitution because, a constitution implies certain principles that form the basis of the kind of country that we as citizens, desire to live in. A Constitution directs us the fundamental nature of our society and our country in which we live in. A Constitution directs a set of rules and principles that all persons in a country can agree upon as the basis of the way in which they want the country to be governed or run. The constitution also spells out the ideals and morals the citizens believe that their country should uphold.
Because Jawaharlal Nehru did not want to get involved in the issues of the super powers and also because India was under economic crisis during that phase.
The super powers USA & USSR was trying to strengthen their power by joining hands with other countries and the countries which were not willing to join any of the super powers stayed separated and joined the non alligned policy and maintained peace.
