we know that IxI = x if x > 0 & IxI = -x if x<0

Therefore, we can write here as,

Ix-2I = x-2 if x -2 >0 & 

        = - (x-2) if x-2<0

Therefore, Ix-2I = x-2 if x>2 & 

                       = - (x-2) if x<2

Further, I-6I = 6

Therefore, the given expression can be written as,

If x>2,

Ix-2I - 4I-6I = (x-2) - 4*6 = (x-2) - 24 = x-26 

& If x<2,

Ix-2I - 4I-6I = -(x-2)-4*6 = (-x+2) - 24 = -x - 22= -(x+22)
