I am formally trained in Kathak up to the Prabhakar level and have been consistently practicing classical dance with discipline and dedication. My training emphasizes clarity of footwork, rhythm coordination, body alignment, and expressive storytelling.

I specialize in teaching beginners and children, ensuring they develop correct technique from the very first class. I also guide students for stage performances and structured progression in classical repertoire.

Along with classical Kathak, I also teach Semi-Classical, Folk and Bollywood dance styles. My approach ensures that even in Bollywood or fusion-based choreography, students maintain grace, rhythm control and clean technique.

My focus is not just on teaching steps, but on developing confidence, grace, rhythm sense and stage presence in every student.

Approach:

My teaching approach is structured, disciplined and foundation-oriented. I begin with basic tatkaar and rhythm training to build strong coordination between footwork and taal. Each class includes:
• Warm-up and posture correction
• Footwork practice with proper laya (tempo)
• Hand movements (hastak) and coordination
• Classical compositions (thaat, amad, tukda, tihai etc.)
• Abhinaya practice for expression development
• Choreography development for Semi-Classical, Folk and Bollywood

For Bollywood and Folk styles, I ensure movements are clean, expressive and rhythmically accurate rather than only step-based learning.

I believe in gradual progression moving from basic to advanced only after conceptual clarity. I maintain a patient and encouraging environment, especially for children and beginners.

My goal is to help students understand the theory and cultural depth of Kathak along with practical training.
