In programming language few words are specified for specific purpose that are restricted to be used as a parameter name, method name, class name etc.These words are basically known as 'KEYWORDS'. IF, ELSE, CONTINUE, BREAK, SWITCH are few examples of Reserved Words.

Question: If 20 litres of water is added to x litres of 80% boric acid, it will become 60% concentrated. How should I calculate the value of x? Please help me to find out the answer

Quantity = x L.

80% Acid = In 100L soltuion acid content is 80L In 1L solution acid content is 80/100 In x L solution the acid content is (80*x)/100 L

After adding 20L water Quantity = x+20 L Acid remains same (80*x)/100 L

Now % of acid is (80*x) / {100*(x+20)} *100

Acc to sum the result is equal to 60. Thus solving it we get, 80x -60x =1200 20x=1200 x=60L

Question: Kalyan starts walking in the northeast direction and travels 40 m. Then, he moves towards east and walks 25 m. Then, he turns towards southwest and moves 40 m and finally walks towards west for 7 m and stops. Which direction is Kalyan facing at his final position? Please explain the answer

thus SP is 90 which is equivalent to 1800 i.e 20times of asumed SP.

Hense CP will be 20times 100=2000

Selling at 2500 earns 500profit. %profit is 500/2000 =1/4=25%

10%discount on 32800 =3280 thus 32800-3280=29520.

Additional discount 10% on 29520=2552 thus 29520-2952=26568.

let balram can complete the work alone on x day.

i.e in 1day he can do 1/x work.

similarly sujata can do 1/18work in 1day.

in 2days they togather does (18+x)/18x work.

in 24 day they does (18+x)/18x *12 which is equivalent to complete work means 1.

thus (18+x)/x =18/12 =3/2

36+2x=3x x=36

Question: A tap can fill a cistern in 2 hours and another tap can empty the same cistern in 3 hours. How long will it take for the cistern to fill if both the taps are turned on? Stuck on the question. Get me out

In 1hr tap A fills(+) 1/2 part.

In 1hr tap B empties(-) 1/3part

Means in 1hr they both fills only 1/2-1/3 part =1/6part.

1/6part is filled in 1hr

1part is filled in 1/(1/6)hr i.e 6hr

Hence inorder to fill it completely it would require 6hr.

Question: A mixture contains milk and water in the ratio 5 : 1. On adding 5 litres of water, the ratio of milk to water becomes 5 : 2. How do I calculate the quantity of milk in the original mixture?

milk : water = 5 : 1 let the ratios be in multiple of x

thus 5x / 1x.

now on adding 5L water

5x/(1x +5) = 5/2

10x=5x+25 5x=25

x=5

milk was 5x =25
