Experience:

I am a final year undergraduate student of the department of Civil Engineering at IIT Kharagpur enrolled in its dual degree (B.Tech. + M.Tech.), 5 year course.

I have a two years experience of teaching school students through "National Service Scheme (NSS)", IIT Kharagpur. I was selected as a student mentor by the "Student Welfare Group (SWG)", IIT Kharagpur, in the 3rd year of my study, where my job was to guide the fresher students in all the academic subjects. Currently, I am a paid Teaching Assistant (TA) of the course "Mechanics of Materials" in which I am helping the students in understanding the concepts and clarifying their doubts in this coursework.

Approach:

I will go through the concepts in detail with proper examples followed by homework problems. I am very flexible in my approach. I can change my way as per the understanding level of my student. I approach tutoring in such a way that I show the students the basics, and then give them a variety of practice exercises and urge them figure out the answers themselves. If in doubt, I would keep prompting them to find the right answers thereby helping them to grasp the right concepts.
