Explanation: Let, the no. of 50 Rs. notes be x. So, no. of 10 Rs. notes = (x+1).
Thus the total amount = Rs. [50x + 10(x+1)] = Rs. (60x + 10)
By the prob, 60 x + 10 = 240
Solving, we get, x = 4 . So, x+1 = 5

of money would be Rs 250-10 = Rs 240. Now combined value of one pair of these notes would be Rs 60( 50+10).
Therefore for Rs 240/- there should be 4 such pair of notes (4*60 =240), that is4 notes of Rs 50 and 4 notes of Rs 10.
But we know that no.of Rs 10 notes are one more than the number of Rs 50 notes.
Hence Rs 50 notes = 4
Rs 10 notes = 5
Thus 4*50 +5*10 = Rs 250.
