There are some areas which receive rainfall both in Summer and Winter. North West India haryana, Punjab this area receive rainfall from the Bay of bengal branch as well as the Arabian sea branch of SW Monsoon, and in Winter from the Western Disturbance. Eastern Coastal Plains area of Andra pradesh, orissa and WB also receive rainfall from Bay of Bengal branch during Summer but in Winter from Tropical depression on The Bay of Bengal also causes Cyclonic rainfall in this area. Coromandel coast remains dry in the Summer season but gets rain from the retreating Monsoon.
