SN1 reaction is nucleophilic substitution , unimolecular reaction.rate of reaction depends on only one of the reactants.in this type of reaction ,substitution takes place with the help of a nucleophile.this type of reaction completes in two steps.

Example- t-butyl chloride +NaOH(aq.)= t-butyl alcohal + NaCl

# SN2 reacton is nucleophilic substitution,bimolecular reaction. rate of reaction depends on both of the reactants.In this type of reaction substitution takes place with the help of a strong nucleophile.this type of reaction completes in one step only.

Example- methyl chloride +NaOH (aq,) = methyl alcohol + NaCl
