What's Your Question?
Answer

Let, the principal amount be x.
At 5% for 2 years S.I. \(= x\times5/100\times2= x/10\) Rs.
At 7.5% for 2 years S.I. \(= x\times7.5/100\times2= 15x/100\) Rs.
After 4 years fetching interest rate is 10%
Hence, at 10% for (7 - 4) = 3 years \(= x\times10/100\times3= 3x/10\)

According to question,
\(x/10 + 15x/100 + 3x/10 = 4400\)
\(=> 55x/100 = 4400\)
\(=> x = 8000\)

Principal amount is 8000 Rs.

Therefore, at 10% rate for 2 years C.I. will be \(8000\times({1 +{10\over 100}})^2 -8000 \)
\(= 8000( 1.1^2 -1) \)
\(= 8000\times .21\)
\(=1680\) Rs.
