Answers and Solutions

What's Your Question?
Answer

Investment of A:B:C = ₹ 12000 : ₹ 15000 : ₹ 18000 = 4 : 5 : 6

Sum of ratios = 4 + 5 + 6 = 15

A’s share = 4x/15

B’s share = 5x/15

C’s share = 6x/15

A’s share of profit = ₹ 3000

Thus, 4x/15 = ₹ 3000

Or, x = ₹ (750 x 15) = ₹ 11250 = Total Profit

Answer

Ratio of investments=12000:15000:18000   i.e 4:5:6

Share of profits will be in the ratio of investments

Ratio of profits=4:5:6

A' share =4/(4+5+6)*Total investment=3000

Total investment=3000*15/4= Rs11250

Answer

Ratio of shares = Ratio of investments

Ratio of investment= 12,000 : 15,000 : 18,000

                               = 12 : 15 : 18 = 4 : 5 : 6

Now A’s share is 3000

Let the total profit be x

therefore,
 \(\frac{4}{4+5+6}\times x=3000\\ \implies \frac{4}{15}\times x =3000\\ \implies x= Rs.11250\)
