What's Your Question?
Answer
Motor controller is circuit witch is use to control motor speed and starting current.
Answer

Ans:

A motor controller is a device or group of devices that serves to govern in some predetermined manner the performance of an electric motor.[1] A motor controller might include a manual or automatic means for starting and stopping the motor, selecting forward or reverse rotation, selecting and regulating the speed, regulating or limiting the torque, and protecting against overloads and faults.[2]

There are many types of starters  :

1) Direct On Line (DOL)

2) Star delta starter

3) Auto transformer starter

Answer

A Motor Controller is a device that acts as intermediary between your robot's microcontroller, batteries and motors. Amotor controller is necessary because a microcontroller can usually only provide roughly 0.1 Amps of current whereas most actuators (DC motors, DC gear motors, servo motorsetc.) require several Amps

Answer

Motor controllers after starters which are used to limit the starting voltage. Starter it's a group of resistors connected in series. At due to low speed of motor back emf is low and the voltage it's too high that may burn the windings. Hence starts are used to limit there voltage at starting by offering resistance till the motor rounds at treated speed
