What's Your Question?
Answer

20/(20+10+30+10) = 20/70 =2/7;

(ii) (20+30+10)/(20+10+30+10) = 60/70 = 6/7

Answer

Solution :

Number of Rs 10 coins =20

Number of Rs 5 cois = 10

Number of Rs 2 coins = 30

Number of Re 1 coins = 10

Total number of coins = 20+10+30+10= 70

i.) Probability that a Rs 10 coin will fall down = No. of favourable events/ No of possible outcomes

= 20/70 = 2/7

ii.) Probability that a rs 5 coin will not fall down = 1- Probability that a rs 5 coin will fall down

1- 10/70 = 1-1/7 = 6/7

Answer

TOTAL NO OF COINS = 70

No of ten-rupee coins = 20

So probability that a ten-rupee coin will fall = 20/70 = 2/7

No of five-rupee coins = 10

So probability that a five-rupee coin will fall is 10/70 = 1/7

Hence the probability that a five-rupee coin will not fall = 1-1/7 = 6/7   Ans

Answer

Total number of coins= number of Rs.10 coins + number of Rs.5 coins + number of Rs.2 coins +number of Re.1 coins

                                  =20+10+30+10

When one coin drops, it could be Rs. 10, Rs. 5, Rs.2 or Re.1.

(i) If the coin dropped is Rs. 10 coin, that would mean that the coin can be out of the 20 coins he has of Rs.10

Therefore, the probability of Rs. 10 coin= number of coins of Rs10/ total number of coins

                                                                   =20/70 or 2/7

(ii) If the coin dropped is Rs. 5 coin, that would mean that the coin can be out of the 10 coins he has of Rs.5

Therefore, the probability of Rs. 5 coin= number of coins of Rs5/ total number of coins

                                                                   =10/70 or 1/7

Answer

(i) It will be 20/(20+10+30+10) = 20/70 =2/7; (ii) (20+30+10)/(20+10+30+10) = 60/70 = 6/7
