You do not need to memorize vocabulary, but you need to do analysis of a particular word. Vocabulary is not a historical data. VOCABULARY has a scientific association. It is technical in nature. In India, we have the habit of seeing Science and Maths as technical.
For each word I try to make atleast 5 sentences ,I know it seems time consuming but it work wonders.
There are many ways in which you can increase your vocabulary as against memorising it. Rome was not built in one day. You can go to Google and in the search box type "word of the day". This will give you a link to many dictionaries that chooses a word of the day with explanation. Now, you must construct at least 5 sentences using that word.Only by constructing sentences will you be able to retain the meaning.
Another way is to play word games like a simple crossword puzzles.
The best way to remember English vocabularies is to utilise as many words as you can in every day. Suppose you have learnt a new word - 'sanguine'. Employ this word into a sentence.
ex- I was sanguine about the murder.
Don't memorize. Speak english with friends or write english on a daily basis. Try using new words. You will start to remember words and you won't have to make an effort in memorizing
You can't memorize them . It has to become an inntegral part of your speech and for that you'll have to use those words, one at a time, whenever you are conversing with someone. That's how you develop a vocab
Read a lot and use new vocabulary words in day to day. Speech
