Provisions of Rigid constitution can not be changed while in case of flexible constitution provisions can be changed using amenendments(e.g article 368 of Indian constitution).

A rigid constituion is one which cannot be ammended easily. Almost all written constitutions are rigid while unwritten constitutions are flexible. This is the basic difference.

a rigid constitution is one that requires a special procedure for its  amendment (example american const.).Passing amendment thus becomes difficult.This is the reason why it is called rigid.

however flexible cons. can be amended in the same manner as normal laws are made (british const.)
