What's Your Question?
Answer

Answer:

Length of train T =    100 metres

Length of train U =    150 metres

Length of tunnel =     200 metres

Distance to be travelled by train T to exit the tunnel =  100+200 = 300 metres

Distance to be travelled by train U to exit the tunnel =  150+200 = 350 metres

Speed of train T  =  54 Kms/hr   =54*(5/18) metres/sec=    15 metres/sec

Time taken for train T to travel 300 metres=  300/15 =   20 seconds

Speed of train U =   90 Kms/hr   =  90*(5/18)metres/sec =  25 metres/sec

Time taken for train U to travel 350 metres =   350/25 =      14 seconds

Thus it can be seen that train U will exit the tunnel first.  At this time train T will need 6 more seconds to exit the tunnel, that is it has to travel still 6*15 = 90 metres to exit the tunnel or                                                      still 90 metres of the train T will be inside the tunnel.
