Principle of Use and Disuse: Parts of an organism's body that are used more frequently become more developed, while those that are not used deteriorate over time. For example apendix

Inheritance of Acquired Characteristics: Changes that occur in an organism's lifetime, as a result of the first postulate, can be passed on to its offspring. Offspring inherit traits acquired by their parents during their lifetime.

Answer
  1. Effect of environment and new needs: means changes in environment will create new needs for living organisms .
  2. Use and diuse of organ: According to Lamarck giraffes were earlier goat-like organisms but due to a shortage of food on low-hanging trees they try to extend their neck over years which ultimately leads to long neck in them......one more example  of diuse of organ is - Loss of limbs in snake ,, actually ancestors of snakes were earlier lizard like but increased competition make them to hide themselves in burrows that is why they reduce their limbs and become limbless over a time. criticism : continous use of haert and eyes did not result in increase in size.
  3. Inheritence of acquired characters: acc to him the characters an invidual aquire during his lifetime pass to their generations. but today we know that inheritence is genetic, so this postulate is major criticism of his theory.

Organisms are driven to complexity : he believes that when an organism adjusted to an evironment nature pushes it from simpler forms to complex forms .

hope u understand.
