## Question:If a car covered a total distance of 64 km. in 52 minute. What was his average speed in km per hour?

THE CAR COVERED A TOTAL OF 64 K.M. IN 52 MINUTES.  SO  IN ONE MINUTE IT WILL COVER 64/52=1.230KM.IN ONE HOUR IT WILL COVER 1.230X60=73.846KM I.E.73.85KM.

In 52 minutes,car travelled 64kms, then in 1minute it can travel (64/52)km, so in 60 minutes,it can travel (64*60)/52 kms=73.85 . So speed of car is 73.85 km/hr
Time=52 min Distance= 64 km Distance in 1 hour= (64/52) Ã—60= 73.85km (approx)
Given Distance= 64km Time= 52 minutes We can compare or calculate hours with kilometers (or) minutes with meters In the given question answer is asking in kilometre, so time(given in minutes) should change into Hours Time= 52/60 Speed = Distance/Time = 64Ã·52/60 = 64Ã—60Ã·52 = 3840Ã·52 Speed = 73.84km per hour

Since, 1 hr = 60 mins,

The average speed of the car = (64)*60/52 km/hr = 73.846 km/hr .   (Ans.)
