The degree of a relationship type is the number of entities within each entity type that can be linked by a given relationship type. This can be unary,binary, ternary,quartenary etc based on the number of participating entities. Cardinality is the minimum and maximun number of entity occurrence associated with one occurrence of the related entity Cardinality types for binary relations are of four types I.e. 1 to 1 , 1 to many , many to 1 and many to many.
