Answer

A network protocol defines rules and conventions for communication between network devices.

Answer

Network protocol are different typesw, like TCP/IP protocol

Answer

network protocols are the set of rules and regulations that are generally used for the communication between two networks. any two networks communicate with each other by sending and receiving message in the form of packets. the technique that is used seperating a message into packets is called packet switching. each packet contains the address of the computer which the message was sent and also of the computer which will receive the message . in order to send the packet, routers and switches are connected over the network path that forward trhe packet to the internet receiver. using network protocol , the following tasks can be performed :

  • identification of the type of the physical connection used
  • error detection and correction of the improper message
  • initiation and termination of the communication session
  • message formatting

some of the commonly used network protocols are Hyperper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP) , Simple Mail Trasfer Protocol (SMTP), File Transfer Protocol(FTP), Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) , Telecommunication Network(Telnet),  Domain Name System(DNS) etc.

Answer
A protocol is a set of rules that governs the communications between computers on a network. In order for two computers to talk to each other, they must be speaking the same language.
Answer

Network Protocol include guidelines that regulate the following characteristics of a network, access method, allowed physical topologies, types of cabling, and speed of data transfer.

The most common network protocols are:

Ethernet ,Local Talk, Token Ring , FDDI, ATM
