DHVUSUBHLUTY BY 2 A number is divisible by 2 if: It is an even number, i.e., it ends in 0, 2, 4, 6 or 8. Example: 26 is divisible by 2 as it ends in 6 but 25 is not divisible by 2 as it ends in 5, an odd number,

DHVUSUBHLUTY BY 3 A number is divisible by 3 if: The sum of the digits of the number is divisible by 3, i.e., the sum is a multiple of 3, Example: 27 is divisible by 3 as 2 + 7= 9 is divisible by 3 but 28 is not divisible by 3 as 2 10 is not divisible by 3.

4 A number is divisible by 4 if: The last two digits of the number is divisible by 4, i.e., it is a multiple of 4, Example: 516 is divisible by 4 as 16 is divisible by 4 but 518 is not divisible by 4 as 18 is not divisible by 4.

A number is divisible by 6 if: It is an even number and is divisible by 3, i.e., it is divisible by both 2 and 3, Example: 84 is divisible by 6 as it is divisible by both 2 and 3 but 94 is not divisible by 6 as it is divisible by 2 but not by 3.

DUVHSH3BLHTY BY To check divisibility by 7: We divide the number into groups of 3 digits (starting from right) and find the difference between the sum of the numbers (not digits) in odd and even places. If the difference is 0 or a number divisible by 7, the original number is also divisible by 7, Example: 1094968: (968 + l) - 094 = 875 which is divisible by 7 but 1094969 is not divisible by 7 as (969 + 1) - 094 = 876 is not divisible by 7,

DHVUSUBHLUTY BY 9 A number is divisible by 9 if: The sum of the digits of the number is divisible by 9, i.e., the sum is a multiple of 9, Example: 27 is divisible by 9 as 2 + 7= 9 is divisible by 9 but 39 is not divisible by 9 as 3 +9 = 12 is not divisible by 9.

A number is divisible by 10 if: It ends in 0, Example: 250 is divisible by 10 as it ends in 0 but 255 is not divisible by 10 as it does not end in 0,

A number is divisible by 11 if: The difference between the sum of the digits at odd places and the sum of the digits at even places is either 0 or a number divisible Example: 1353 is divisible by 11 as (1 + 5) + 3) = 6-6 = 0 but 1253 is not divisible by 11 as (1 + 5) - (2 + 3)= 6- 5= 1 is not divisible by

A number is divisible by 12 if: It is divisible by 3 and the last two digits of the number is divisible by 4, i.e., it is divisible by both 3 and 4, Example: 384 is divisible by 12 as it is divisible by both 3 and 4 but 184 is not divisible by 12 as it is divisible by 4 but not by 3.

To check divisibility by 13: We divide the number into groups of 3 digits (starting from right) and find the difference between the sum of the numbers (not digits) in odd and even places. If the difference is 0 or a number divisible by 13, the original number is also divisible by 13, Example: 91 which is 579488: 579 488 divisible by 13 but 579489 is not divisible by 13 as 579 - 489 = 90 is not divisible by 13.
