  1. Active and Passive Voice — Full Notes Prepared by: Mahi Rajan 1 . What is Voice in Grammar? Voice tells us whether the subject Of a sentence does the action or receives it. Active Voice: Subject does the action. Example: Riya writes a letter. Passive Voice: Subject receives the action. Example: A letter is written by Riya. 2. Structure of Active and Passive Voice Active - Subject + Verb + Object The chef cooks dinner. Passive -Object + form of "be" + V3 + (by + subject)Dinner is cooked by the chef. 3. Tense-wise Conversion Rules Simple Present islam/are + V3 Active: He writes a letter. Passive: A letter is written by him.

Imperative Sentences in Passive Voice object Active: Wash the car. Passive: Let the car be washed.
