  1. ADVERB An Adverb is a word that modify every part of speech except a noun, pronoun and interjection. Examples 1. He speaks english correctly ( modifies verb) 2. Sangeeta is very sincere (modifies adjective) 3. He drives extremely fast (modify adverb) 4. The train left just before we had reached the station (modify conjuction) KINDS OF ADVERB 1. Simple adverb 2. Relative adverb 3. Interrogative adverb 1. Simple adverb- It denotes time, place, no, frequency of manner, reason, degree, affirmation or negation. Eg. He walks slowly.(manner) She had already done it. (time) The police could find him nowhere (place) She will truly help you.(affirmation) 2. Relative adverb- Relative adverb combines two sentences. It points towards its antecedents (noun/pronoun) and denotes place, reason or manner. Eg. This is the reason why she was late. I do not know where he was gone. He knows the way how a car is driven. 3. Interrogative adverb- interrogative adverbs are why, when, where, how, how often etc. interrogative verb is also used in the beginning. Eg. Why are you so sad? Where has sarita gone? How are you feeling these days?
