I am pursuing Ph.D at Kumaraguru College of Technology. I wish to teach Biology based subjects. I am the recipient of the prestigious KVPY fellowship (Award ID: EB2091304) funded by DST, Government of India for four years (from 01.04.2010 to 31.03.2014). I am the one among seven successful candidates in the country rigorously scrutinized (based on 10th marks, +2 marks, Innovative project proposal and interview at IIT Bombay) in engineering discipline and finalized for KVPY fellowship 2009 awards. Under this scheme, I pursued research projects as summer camps at (1) Dept. of Biotechnology, Alagappa University, Karaikudi on the topic Production of secondary metabolites from medicinal plants used by Tribes in The Nilgiris, (2) at RGCB, Trivandrum on the topic Expression and Purification of Recombinant Protein Kinase From BL21 (DE3) E.Coli Strain and (3) at JSS College of Pharmacy, Ootacamund on the topic Extraction and Characterization of the Ethanolic extract of Tribulus terrestris. For my M.Tech program, I worked on Castor oil based self-nano emulsifying Levosulpiride delivery system:Formulation, optimization and in vitro characterization. Currently for the DBT funded research project, I am working on the extraction of protease from banana peel to treat genital warts caused by human papilloma virus. The objective of the work is to develop a wound dressing material containing isolated and purified protease as an active ingredient. The purified fraction of the enzyme is immobilized in nanofibres. Nanofibres are achieved through the process of electrospinning. The nanofibres have the ability to release the active component in a controlled manner. Work is in progress.

DST-GoI has conferred me the prestigious KVPY fellowship for my achievements in studies as well innovative RESEARCH PROPOSAL, and I received the fellowship grant for four years (2010-2014). I have strong commitment for RESEARCH. I understand TEACHING & LEARNING are inter-related. To excel in teaching, essential components are (i) fundamental and updated knowledge in subject area, (ii) communication skill (mostly English), and (iii) effective presentation by both oral and with modern ICT tools. I acquired my graduation and higher education through reputed institutions such as TNAU, SASTRA and KCT. In addition, I have good score in IELTS English language test and I am using the latest ICT tools for my Research.
