Bank Probationary Officer (PO) Probationary Officer (PO) is the entry-level position in the officer cadre in the banking industry. POs have a good career path in the bank and can make to the top position in the bank. Recruitment of probationary officers in Banks is done through a written competitive exam (Bank PO exam ) followed by the interview with successful candidates. Different banks advertise in leading newspapers from time to time for the said exam depending upon the number of vacancies available for probationary officers. Each bank has a separate process of selection for the POs.
