My tutoring approach will be to first interact with students and gauge their understanding of a particular subject which includes how much background information they have about the subject, understanding of the basic concepts surrounding the subject and what is expected of them in an examination setting. I would then proceed to take stock of their course curriculum, the learning objectives and their evaluation/examination schedule. Since, I am planning to impart my training online, I will divide my teaching into smaller modules and would share reading exercises for the students to read before starting each individual modules. At the start of each module, I would ask my students to share a brief summary of their understanding of the reading exercise that I had given them on the prior date. Then based upon their understanding I shall help them understand the concepts related to the subject and clear their doubts if any regarding the concepts at the end of my instructions on a given module. I also plan to keep a 15 minute doubt clearing session during each module so that students can clear any doubt that they may have regarding a particular module or chapter of the subject that they are given instructions in. For college students, I will share reading material, descriptive question and their answers on topics like Constitutional law, Companies Act, Arbitration, Public Administration and Property Law.
