Working in the “x-perience” department. The work involved interaction with people who want to go through various simulators that put them in the position of people that are less fortunate. I myself worked in the blind ‘x-perience’, the AIDS ‘x-perience’ and the Paper-Bag making experience. They were all emotionally taxing and physically demanding as it involved being able to create an environment where the people truly felt less fortunate and had to cope with different scenarios thrown at them by the actors and facilitators of the program. This volunteer work helped raise awareness about various global issues such as poverty, disease and war. I was able to showcase and develop my communication skills as well as promote a worthy cause.
