For Maths, my teaching goes strictly through below steps 1. Why the topic we are studying? Who invented this? Why it was invented? Where exactly the principle is applied (the practical example)? I believe, every invention, no mater it is mathematical or any other, are the outcome of some neccessity/need. Without knowing the need, it is absurd to read the concepts. 2. Simple examples with formulae 3. Some tough questions 4. Exam tips (like shortcuts), mock questions which are important from exam point of view Note: I do not allow anyone to write on their notebook when I teach. I want them to concentrate completely on the page where I am explaining the concepts. Later I give the students some time to write the concepts in their book.
