I'm Sai Kiran, pursuing B-Tech degree in CSE-IITB. I previously taught Maths to a 10th standard and a 12th standard JEE aspirants. Maths was always my strength, as it's pretty easy once we understand the basics. I was eager in solving doubts that my friends (when I was a JEE aspirant). I got interest in teaching Maths to friends, and then now, feeling good by helping the students. Maths is very interlinked, that if you are good at any topic, you can easily relate other topics to it.

Talking specifically about examinations, I mainly focus on the time gradient of the student, because time's the major factor that affects the JEE score. The student should be able to manage time in any exam he attempts, making priorities then and there in the examination hall. For teaching, I first check the student's basic knowledge in that topic. I'll tentatively make a schedule for that topic, with a limit of maximum days if he/she has no knowledge in that topic. The schedule is flexible, and I make sure that the student can easily understand the basics. Once he knows the basic, I teach him how to apply those things everywhere he can. The student will be in a state, that he creates his own way of solving some problems, which he could not do in a specific way. (Ex : If a student finds hard to integrate or solving lengthy equations in Geometry or Integration, he can use Graphs wherever he can). Books, whichever the student finds easy, and I would happily suggest some good ones. I check that the student makes some notes required for him to recollect some topics, and problem solving sessions happen frequently (daily), and (s)he solves some good problems each time I give him/her an assignment.
