Computer Science Teacher (May, 2012–Present) at Active Computer Kolkata
Teaching and Tutoring: Since 2012, Computer Science and Applications, Information Technology, Programming, besides that, I also provide guidance in Computer and IT to students of school level IX to XII, Boards(ICSE/CBSE/ISC/All) Degree/Diploma Level: Undergraduates in Engineering, Computer Science(CSE), BSc ,BCA. Prior to my shift in Education sector, I worked as a Quality control engineer, Hardware Networking, managing and maintaining Client Server, troubleshooting hardware and software faults. Microsoft, Cisco, Linux platform. I am a teacher by passion and profession comes later.
Tutoring Approach
I am a friendly and flexible tutor. While teaching a topic I ask my students as many questions possible. Divergent questions allow students to explore different avenues and create many different variations and alternative answers or scenarios. As a life-long learner, my education is on-going. I have been either a student or a teacher in one type of classroom or another since I entered kindergarten. I believe in the limitless potential of all students. My belief, which is supported by my experience, is that one student may excel in many areas and learning modalities, but all students excel in some areas. Development is an individual process that is marked by specific ages and stages, yet individuals vary in their own, unique age/stage development. My approach is holistic in nature, and I take into account and am sensitive to the whole person and his/her family. Prantik Sir is a very good teacher to learn about all the various things you would like about computer science. He is a very knowledgeable person and also very friendly. I studied under him for 2 years, for my ICSE. We had Java programming for our syllabus and before studying under him I really had a hard time understanding the Java language. My poor eyesight at the time did not help things either. After he started teaching me I not only understood the basics of the language better but also found an uncanny interest in programming. I used to try writing different programs in my computer long after he would go home. He would also give me useful info not only about the topics in my current syllabus but also other topics which I always found interesting. I owe whatever marks I got in the ICSE exams to him and I mean it. Even today now that I am a BSC Economics student in my second year I always take advice regarding my computer and other topics concerning software, hardware, etc whenever I feel the need to. He is a great teacher and there I end this review.
The way of teaching is excellent.
He can make you understand anything. He is hard working and very friendly. If your child is struggling with the computer subject then this is it.
He makes classes very interesting and makes you understand the core of the subject without any hardships. His availabilities towards the students in mobile are exceptional. In a nutshell, He's a really good teacher. Probably the Best for a computer in Kolkata.
I never liked computer as a subject(class 10 level) until Prantik Sir started teaching me.He devised new methods and techniques to grab the topics.He rather changed my perspective of viewing the computer as a boring subject than an interesting idea.
