I approach tutoring in such a way that I show the students the basics, and then give them a variety of practice exercises and urge them figure out the answers themselves. If in doubt, I would keep prompting them to find the right answers thereby helping them to grasp the right concepts.

First of all, I have a conversation with the child to understand the weak links, which helps to plan the future course of action. As per the time available and keeping in mind the examination schedule, timely completion of the syllabus, with test papers and doubt session, is designed. Also, sometimes is kept in reserve for self-study so that the child can clear the concepts so that when exams are near, child is ready to solve any problem and thus achieve the best result.
