Tutoring Approach

I  generally start with one diagnostic test or if someone have already practiced few mock test then I better ask their score, the topics and the type of questions they committed  mistakes or faced difficulty on a recurring basis.This help me identifying the problematic topic /type of questions so that we can focus more on those topics. Also we provide content & practice questions for each topic which have already been asked or at par with the relevant prep exam.  After all for scoring high at GMAT/CAT /GRE & SAT one need not to be master at subject but to master the techniques/tricks to solve question and that too in a limited time. GMAT/CAT /GRE & SAT exam generally do not deviate much from the set trend and pattern. Also there are few topics which covers a good weight of the exam so understanding and practicing these questions well is very critical for scoring high at these exams. This  is a general strategy which I adopt but the planning of the classes  very much depends upon the candidate's weakness, strength and critical areas. Moreover, we look into the individual mock test scores or their actual scores if they have already written these exams once, to devise strategy specific to them for maximum improvement..

  what I like the most about Mr. Jitendra is his unconventional method of teaching, which is very important from the exam point of view, where we have time constraints. The questions covered during the session and the practice questions after the session are more than sufficient to cover the topic.

My approach will be depend on the student`s needs and learning style. However my teaching is based on encouraging students to think for themselves, using real-world examples wherever possible. I usually focus on exam-style or past paper questions in order to check, practice and perfect the student`s understanding and technique.

My approach is to work with students through the following five step plan: 1) Explaining concept 2) Walking through sample problems 3) Assigning problems 4) Identifying student's problem areas 5) Revisiting problem area concepts and sample problems This plan then complimented with weekly quizzes and monthly exams gives the tutor ample opportunity to emphasize and focus on student's problem area and also provides student with enough practice.

I have an interactive approach of teaching, where the students get ample chance to speak and to ask any query that they might have. I provide lots of practice exercises for writing and speaking both.

I believe that every student is different from another. Hence, I don't follow a strict teaching regimen. Rather, I observe the student first, his/her needs, requirements and then chart out a comprehensive tutoring plan for the student.
