The Ph.D thesis entitled “Optimization and effectiveness of different transformation techniques for development of stem borer resistant transgenic lines of Indian tropical Maize (Zea mays L.)” I have obtained my master degree (M.Sc Biochemistry) from Dept. of Biochemistry, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi (India) and B.Sc (Botany Hons.) from Veer Kunwar Singh University, Ara, Bihar, India. I have gained theoretical knowledge and working experience in the area of plant molecular biology and biotechnological techniques as per my curriculum.

Tutoring Approach

My approach to tutoring is that I tailor my tuition to the needs of the student. I will tutor in my own home or that of the student. I will vary my style depending on the ability and needs of the student. I aim to run my tuition in support of the progression of my students through their subject syllabus, but I am also willing to progress more slowly and focus on particularly weak areas if the student so desires. I will also offer pre-exam revision sessions for all exams including modular resits and conduct end of topic tests and mock exams should the student desire. As a teacher I aim to provide my students with the analytical skills useful in biology, including the ability to think and express one’s self logically and the capability to learn outside the traditional classroom setting. I attempt to do so by modeling these behaviors in my own research and teaching and by providing appropriate opportunities for students to practice and develop these skills. Logic and independent learning are particularly important, but not exclusive, to the study of biology, and I hope they will serve my students in whatever career path they choose.
