For IIT JEE and JEE Mains my approach is to create a deep understanding in students regarding the concepts and further in making them confident with tackling JEE level problems. Its based on how I cracked the exam and I believe that practicing the right type of questions is the key. For Maths and Physics tutoring for school, I prefer not broadening out too much but relying strictly on the course work within the textbook.This gives students a smaller subset to work on and the concepts become easier to grasp.Also this helps in furthering the conceptual knowledge involved in the learning procedure that is important to relate to real life problems and thus create interest in learning them. English Proficiency : Even though I have not ranked it as my main subject I believe my teaching approach with English proficiency is the most effective. I believe practice and confidence are two key factors in leaning to speak any language. I plan to enter into deep and long conversations with the student and help him build on this as a base. I also plan on giving small audio and video assignments for students to listen to and watch, so that it helps them familiarise themselves with many English words and their manner of speech. By involving in speech with someone proficient in English is the best way to learn the language and I am always ready to be tested on my language proficiency if interested.
