IDQ (Informatica Data Quality) is a tool that can read the data from transactional sources (databases), clean the data based on the defined rules and generate analytics on required metrics. For ex: Many people provide incorrect Zipcode (Pincode) in address. IDQ can read other details from address such as city/state and correct the Zipcode.

IDQ is used to identify incorrect data and correct it. Developer will develop rules for both identifying and correcting data. IDQ mapping is run first.
