Gmat,gre,sat - all tests your analytical and reasoning skills. GRE is for masters,PhD. Gmat is mostly for management/pg degrees. Sat is for undergraduate. The level of difficulty in terms of questions varies in all 3 exams. Gre and sat reading passages are lengthy but gre passages are very difficult. Gre also asks short passages which too are difficult. Gmat sentence correction and critical reasoning questions are difficult.

Gmat/GRE tests your analytical and reasoning skills. Gmat is mostly for over seas management studies and Gre is for masters and PhD studies. IELTS (universally accepted),TOEFL (mainly for USA) are language tests which is primarily required along with Gmat,Gre. There are few management colleges in Canada,Ireland, Australia which are accepting only IELTS score-band 7.5.

Post gre, toefl reading passages you will find easy. Listening is the most scoring section on toefl-ensure that you listen to as many audios and practice well. Speaking you will need to practise with a tutor. 2nd Writing section of toefl is similar to gre issue topic of essay. It's about your personal opinion. You should solve all barrons 7 toefl tests and 3 ets toefl tests.

Students sop,lors, work experience, projects undertaken, internships, extra curricular activities, etc will play a major role as pre requisites.

Getting only good scores on toefl,gre would not stand alone to get into good colleges. Your work experience, profile , previous academics, extra curricular activities would also play a very crucial role for the final admit. There are students getting 309-315 on GRE and 95 on toefl, still getting final admit into reputed institutes because of the other listed factors as above. The institute will also ask you questions in the online for as why you want to pursue Masters. Ms, etc which you need to fill tactfully. Your sop,lors will also play an important role in admission.

160 on GRE verbal is a good score. In order to achieve this score, you need to maximise your accuracy in sentence completion questions -1 blank & 2 blank. You also need to have a good hold over sentence equivalence questions with 100% accuracy. In order to maximise your accuracy in fill in the blank questions as stated before,you need to learn vocabulary thoroughly and should be able to identify whether the blank is positive or negative reading the words near the blank with the help of connectors. Also, you need to score perfectly in critical reasoning questions. In Reading comprehension -you should answer all direct location based questions correctly. You can afford marking 2 wrong answers if 5 questions are asked to you.this depends on the number of questions in the passage. Short passage questions are more twisted than lengthy passages. Understand the gist of the passage. Don't get into the technicality of the passage. Your reading speed and level of understanding should be good. I am retariating level of understanding should be good means understanding the passage as a conclusively,not each and every word/sentence in the passage. This will answer your primary purpose question. In inference questions you need to read backward and forward of the located part in the question to get the answer. Attempt consider each choice separately last
