Lysosomes have lytic enzymes which eat up foreign particles entering the cell. In case the cell is old, infected or the lysosomes are very high in number they eat up their own cell by lysis , hence called suicidal bags of cell.

Plasma membrane is the outer layer of all cells . It is a semi permeable membrane allowing selectively the molecules of water and food in and out of the cell. It is made up of two lipid layers. In plant cells, cell wall is also placed on the outer side of cell membrane as additional layer for rigidity. Plasma membrane provides protection to the entire cytoplasm and inner organelles of the cell. It plays major role in the process of osmosis . Chloroplasts: Tiny organelles within the cells of the leaf that contain chlorophyll, the pigment responsible for capturing light energy and conducting photosynthesis.
