What is the test about?
For admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main).
Who is eligible?
Only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination or those who are appearing for their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination are eligible to appear in JEE (Main).
What are the test syllabus, duration and format?
CHEMISTRY- Physical chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry
MATHEMATICS - Algebra, Trigonometry, Analytical geometry, Differential calculus, Integral calculus, Vectors
PHYSICS - General, Mechanics, Thermal physics, Electricity and magnetism, Optics, Modern physics
ARCHITECTURE APTITUDE TEST-Freehand drawing, Geometrical drawing, Three-dimensional perception, Imagination and aesthetic sensitivity, Architectural awareness
The JEE Advanced Exam will have two objective type papers, Paper I and Paper II. Each paper will consist 3 separate sections on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics .Duration of each paper will be 3 hours. The questions will be of objective type, designed to test comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates.

Who conducts the test?
Joint Entrance Examination (Main) - 2018 will be conducted by the JEE Apex Board for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions etc.
