Score Plus Academy provides Comprehensive Early Edge Preparation Classes on Mathematics & English Skills. The Princeton Review’s ME new course, Early Edge, is a comprehensive early college preparation course. It reinforces and improves students’ basic foundational skills, and it also introduces students to standardized test preparation. Early Edge is designed to work equally well for school-based programs, early PSAT/SAT/ACT prep, and other standardized-test prep. The Early Edge course includes a flexible number of hours of instruction with a certified Princeton Review ME instructor who addresses student problem areas through interactive class activities and drills.

Each book in the Early Edge series consists of approximately 30 modular chapters. These chapters are keyed to specific academic standards and test-taking skills, allowing the user to either focus on select areas to improve or teach the entire curriculum. Each modular lesson includes the following elements, which may be adjusted based on the program’s length and scope:

• Write: 5-minute Do Now writing prompt at the beginning of the class.
• Explore: Teacher-led review of topic through discussions and questioning.
• Sneak Peak: A sample question from an SAT or ACT test relevant to the topic.
• What’s the Point? Analyzes why the topic is relevant to the student’s lives.
• Participate: Students practice the skill in small groups or pairs.
• Practice: Students practice the skill individually in class of for homework.
  • 3 exercises per chapter.
  • 10 questions per exercise.
• Reflect: 5-minute writing prompt to close the lesson.
  • In a Nutshell: Summary of skills, rules, definitions, and tips at the end of each chapter.
