Predictive analytics is all about determining the probable outcomes of events or circumstances and the possibility of any situation occurring. It is used to naturally analyze large amounts of data with different variables. Sound business knowledge and statistical analysis form the basis of predictive analytics. 

Although tools knowledge like R Language, Matlab, esProc, SAS, SPSS, Excel, and SQL are necessary, a sound knowledge of one or more of the tools are not sufficient. The more important requirement is the in-depth knowledge of Statistical techniques which will be used extensively in this field.
